Kelvin Returns to BriSCA F1
Kelvin Hassell will be aiming for a full season of BriSCA F1 Stock Cars in 2018 after a successful part season last year. The Sussex based driver finished the season 4th in the Rookie points championship despite competing in less than half of the championship races.
The full season runs from March to November Starting at Belle Vue Stadium in Manchester and finishing, 43 race meetings later, at Birmingham Wheels Raceway. The season takes the drivers as far north as Lochgelly in Scotland and even across the Channel to Venray in the Netherlands. Kelvin will be competing for all the major events, trying to qualify for World, European and British Championships. Hassell qualified for the European in 2017 finishing 13th overall.
Kelvin will be driving the #13 F1 Stock Car prepared by Mat Newson Racing, and powered by a 500bhp Chevrolet V8 engine. BriSCA F1 is a unique sport in that these very powerful cars race in a small enclosed arena are allowed to push each other out of the way resulting in some spectacular racing action. The series also races on both shale speedway tracks and tarmac ovals requiring the drivers to utilise two very different driving techniques. All the major races will be shown on Premier Sports (channel 428 ) and Free Sports (channel 424) on Sky.
For the 2018 season Kelvin continues his partnership with sponsors Kunstvoller, a Supermundane Lifestyle Collective and Antisocial Enterprise. The affiliation can be followed on twitter, facebook and their website at http://www.kunstvoller.com.
Kunstvoller said “This is our second season working with Kelvin. He’s a fine example of what it means to live a supermundane life. He’s bit quirky, has no shame (openly loves “Frozen”), and roughs it living in his garage so that he can afford to go racing. That’s commitment – we can get behind that.
Plus, being honest, beggars cant be choosers ; we cant afford to sponsor anyone more flash and luckily he’s not too picky either. So here we are, back on the F1 and looking forward to the turns and crashes of 2018. Godspeed.”
Kunstvoller’s sponsorship activation will be through the medium of exclusive web content. They will have a dedicated camera on the race car and regular blog posts provided for them to use on their website and social media outlets. Check out http://www.kunstvoller.com to see what happened last year.
